I have a peanut butter candy recipe that I like to make.
Usually it's at Christmas time.
But my step-daughter asked me what is the recipe and she loved it.
I used to make it when she was little.
I thought it would be good with the recipe but it's not.
I'm doing this video for her because she loves this candy.
The first thing you want to do is make your own peanut butter.
Use your food processor.
Get a container of dry, unroasted, dry roasted, unsalted peanuts.
Whole container.
Put in the food processor.
A quarter of a cup of peanut oil.
Then put the peanuts in and let it go.
It takes a couple of minutes.
Scrip down the sides.
Let it go again for a minute or so and that's your fresh peanut butter.
I tried it without adding the oil and it still works.
But the peanut butter you put it in the fridge so it gets really hard.
So having the oil in there makes it softer.
You know, if you're spreading it on your waffles or whatever.
If you don't use the oil that's okay but it's hard to spread.
Alright, so once you've got that done you need one cup of peanut butter.
And when it comes out it's very portable.
So I'm just going to pour it into the cup. One cup.
So I'm going to turn it upside down to drain into the pot.
And while I'm waiting for that to dry out, I'm going to strain this into the jar.
